Let me tell ya… Miami Beach did not disappoint for a weekend of relaxation. Well sort of relaxation! I ended up staying up wayyyy past my normal time because we were having too much fun. I still woke up at the break of dawn. However, no matter if you are looking for sunshine, beaches, great food, fun nightlife or just chill time by the pool, Miami delivers! I’ve been to Miami numerous time (the last was 2016 when my son was playing in his college football bowl game-the Miami Beach Bowl).

On this trip we chose to stay just on the north side of south beach at the The Edition of Miami Beach. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and the decor of all neutrals with plants and candles everywhere instantly relaxes you as you walk in the door. Miami has a big range of weather year round so if you want to avoid extreme heat and humidity, avoid the summer months. Peak time (busiest time) is winter when everyone is escaping cold temps elsewhere so Miami area is in high demand. I prefer Miami the months of March to May where temps are warm but not too intense but still a lot of sunshine!

Here is a list of places I enjoyed while in Florida:

The Edition Miami Beach https://www.editionhotels.com/miami-beach/

Great for dinner and a fun bar with music on Friday and Saturday nights. The Matador https://www.matadorroom.com

Dinner at Dolce was excellent. Take a table outdoors if the weather allows and soak in the energy and vibe of South Beach. https://www.dolceitalianrestaurant.com/location/dolce-italian-miami/

Breakfast at The Market at Edition https://www.editionhotels.com/miami-beach/restaurants-and-bars/market-at-edition/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2

Hosteria Romana https://hosteriaromana.com

La Sandwicherie https://lasandwicherie.com

Where to stay: Here are a few other places I recommend to stay in Miami Beach:

Loews Miami Beach https://www.loewshotels.com/miami-beach

Hotel 1 https://www.1hotels.com/south-beach

The Gale https://www.galesouthbeach.com

The Betsy https://www.thebetsyhotel.com/?utm_source=google-gmb&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gmb

For a weekend trip, walking around South Beach and exploring Ocean Drive is always fun. The art deco architecture is all around and worth the time to explore. Espanola Way is known for its pedestrian only street which is filled with boutiques, quaint restaurants and a great way to spend time strolling before dinner or an early afternoon.

If you enjoy traveling you will find plenty to love about Miami Beach!
