The Kristi Jones Podcast - Visiting Cabo San Lucas-Pueblo Bonito Pacifica

I started off this new year with a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and stayed at the beautiful Pueblo Bonito Pacifica in the Towers at Pacifica for an unforgettable trip with my husband. This adults only all-inclusive luxury resort is about a 35 minute ride from the airport in Cabo. I was pleasantly surprised how remote and intimate the resort felt…a very romantic vibe. I am a very visual person so I’ve shared many photos to try to give you a feel of this beautiful resort. The level of service, amenities and location of the property with its large stretch of sandy beaches to explore was what really made this place a top choice for me.

By booking a room at The Towers of Pacifica, you get access to the ViP lounge with a more customized check in process and access to the VIP lounge and veranda your entire stay. After checking in, our butler, Romeo, (I am not making that name up…perfect name I thought!) took us to our room and got us oriented with the property and location of all the amenities. I can’t say enough about the level of service Romeo gave us during our entire stay but I’ll chat more on that later. Along with the butler service, our suite in The Towers had our own pool which was heated and warmer than the resort pool. Staying in The Towers allowed us close proximity to the beach, pool, gym and an extra large patio by our pool. The Towers lounge always had delish snacks available. The attendants working the lounge would make any drink of your choice and you can order off the menu and dine there for a much more quiet setting than one of the restaurants.

Some Beachy Style

I packed probably 15 swimsuits and way to many clothes!!! I like to wear what I feel best in that day…and I won’t know until that day! When I travel, I am happiest when I can spontaneously select what I am going to wear for the day. Here are a few of my favorite swimsuit selections from that trip. I always pack a few kimonos because they are so versatile to wear over a swimsuit or just about anything else I throw on. I love the versatility of jean shorts to toss over a bathing suit and paired with the kimono wrap, I’m ready to go!

Let’s Talk Food

When you stay at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, you can dine at any of their other resorts. Pueblo Bonito Sunset, just a short shuttle ride away, had a nice sports bar, The After, which one night we went to for dinner and to watch a NFL football playoff game. They had a ton of TV’s and it was a great sports bar setting. We also loved Quiviara Steakhouse just a short 5 minute shuttle ride away located by the golf course clubhouse. This was more of a fine dining experience and the open air seating overlooking the ocean is so romantic and beautiful at sunset. The Pensinsula Restuarant located at Pacifica is right on the beach had a nice menu for lunch or dinner. For breakfast, we either ordered in with the suite service or we went to the VIP Tower lounge and ordered breakfast there while sitting out on the veranda taking in the ocean view. Even the food we ordered while lounging poolside was delish!! Can’t say enough about the lobster tacos we had lounging by the pool. Topped it off with a margarita and life was complete in that moment! Overall, I was beyond impressed with the quality of the food. It’s been my experience in the past at all-inclusive resorts that the food is a bit sub par but I can say 100% at this resort, every meal was nicely prepared, beautifully presented and exceeded expectation in taste and flavor!

Spa Days at Armonia Spa

Ya’ll know I’m a spa junkie of sorts and consider doing spa treatments as credits for my spa research work(wink, wink). The Spa at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is a smaller more intimate spa in size and scale but the quality of the treatments offered are what you anticipate at a 5 star resort. I did the 90 minute signature massage and a body scrub under the Vichy shower. The next day I opted for a customized facial. The spa offers a nice steam room filled with essential oils and a jacuzzi to enjoy before or after your treatments. One of my favorite personal touches they did was upon your arrival at the spa, an atttendant comes to great you and places a lavender scented, heated neck pillow around your neck and shoulders. Immediate AHHHHH moment!

Cabana Days In Cabo

The beach cabanas were one of my favorite places to lounge for a nice beach day. You have to reserve them ahead of time with your butler or concierge. We spent a nice day there and the server comes out to bring you drinks, lunch or whatever you need. It makes for a nice, quiet day to lounge while listening to the waves of the ocean.

No request is too small or too big for the staff at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. My husband coordinated with our butler Romeo and surprised me with a romantic dinner on the beach. Romeo and his team did such an amazing job I cannot gush over them enough! After dinner, they escorted us to a private cabana to listen to the ocean waves while we enjoyed desert and champagne. It was truly dreamy!

Out And About

We chose to book with the company Cactus Tours to venture out of the hotel and get away to do something fun for a day. I like a good blend of activity and lounging when I’m on vacation. We chose to ride camels along the beach followed by ATV tour where we rode along the beach on up in the trails. It was the best time and the views were amazing. Cabo scenery does not disappoint! https://www.cactusatvtours.com/#/

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica will be seeing me again for sure! We had the most relaxing time and each day there was better than the day before. The peacefulness at this adults only resort was exactly what I was hoping for. Gotta love the feeling of Cabo!

Life is short and the world is wide! I look forward to bringing you more travel suggestions, ideas and reviews soon!
